1. Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to any purchases made from this Belgica Furniture website. We have tried to keep the terms and conditions as clear as possible and provide all relevant information we can so you can fully understand the process of your purchase from time of ordering to delivery and beyond. Please note that different terms (including prices, charges for service, availability, delivery times and returns) apply to purchases made in our store.


2. Purchase of products
When you make a purchase from Belgica furniture you are entering into a contract with the company. Both parties must comply with the terms and conditions. Acceptance of your order will be in form of an email sent you by Belgica Furniture. Belgica Furniture’s acceptance of your order has the effect of bringing into existence a legally binding contract between you and Belgica Furniture. If you do not wish to enter into a binding legal contract then you must not proceed any further with your order.

Once you have placed an order with us we will email an order confirmation with an estimate delivery time. Delivery times can be up to 12 weeks and in some cases possibly longer if the product is being manufactured to individual customer specification. We will call you when your product arrives and arrange a suitable delivery date & time, some products offer express delivery (e.g. Harrison Express Mattresses) they operate a 48 hour guaranteed delivery time from when the order was placed. Please see product specific descriptions for details and if this delivery option is available.

All goods supplied to you by Belgica Furniture remain our property until full payment has been received and has cleared through our banking system. In the event of you being in default of payment goods will not be processed or delivered. Each product purchased is sold subject to its product description which sets out additional specific conditions related to that product including, without limitation, terms and conditions concerning estimated delivery times and after-sales service. Belgica Furniture take extra care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system.

3. Payment & Pricing
Payment is made in full at the time of purchase online. No orders will be fully completed or dispatched until full payment has been received for the goods. All payments must be in pounds Sterling. We accept most major credit cards at belgicafurniture.com, in the case that you are unable to use your card or are having difficulty processing your payment please contact us for assistance: 01506 829447
Should you be taking our offer of interest free credit, this must be approved with all documentation signed and returned (where relevant) before you receive delivery of your goods.
All prices are inclusive of VAT, adjustments will be made to comply with any changes in rates or other legally imposed changes in respect of VAT.
Please note that when purchasing a product which has a number of customisable options the price may change depending on the finish options you choose .i.e. if you choose to purchase a dining room table and change any customisable options colour/material /size etc the price will update to reflect the changes. The difference in price is applied at the time of purchase. We are very careful to ensure all our prices are correct and up-to-date on our website however Belgica Furniture hold the right to cancel and refund the customer for orders placed if it is established at the time of order that there is a pricing error on the website.

All products sold by Belgica Furniture have a 1 year manufacturer’s guarantee, however many manufacturers offer longer guarantees through their company. This is usually presented in your paperwork you receive with your new furniture.

4. Delivery
Here at Belgica Furniture we aim to provide a first class delivery service to all of our customers. We understand how important it is that your delivery arrives in good time and pristine condition. For our local deliveries we use our own highly skilled delivery team and for those customers who are just that little further away we use reliable delivery companies who provide an excellent service. Unfortunately to maintain this level of service we currently only deliver to UK mainland at the moment, however we can deliver to any UK mainland shipping port at the standard delivery cost.

Delivery will be arranged within our normal delivery areas on designated days. Requests for specially timed deliveries may be possible, but may be subject to an extra charge. Delivery of goods will be deemed to have taken place when goods are taken from our vehicle at your delivery address. Whilst we always exercise great care and consideration whilst on you property we cannot, under any circumstances accept liability for any occurrences that may take place thereon. You must inspect all goods on delivery and advise us on any shortage or damage. Should this be impractical because of the packaging, etc., written notification must be sent within 3 days of delivery, time being of the essence.

If access to the property is not possible, if required and at your own risk and at extra cost, alternative arrangements such as dispatching, the use of hoists, lifting tackle or alterations to the goods or property may be possible. On request we shall endeavor to place the goods in the desired room providing there is reasonable access. It is your own responsibility to check all sizes of furniture and provide relevant delivery information at the time of ordering. You must ensure your new furniture is able to fit through doors or any other obstacles that may be of issue when your order is being delivered. Belgica Furniture will not accept any responsibly for windows or doors being removed from a customer’s home. Should you find yourself in any of the above situations where there is no suitable access to deliver your furniture, there may be further charges incurred if the delivery drivers have to take the furniture away or reschedule for another delivery.

Lead Times
All dates quoted at the time of sale are made in good faith and are not legally binding. Whilst we always make every effort to honor them, it must be recognized that they are estimates only and consequently we cannot accept any liability or damage claims resulting from overdue deliveries. Please note that some of our European manufacturers stop production for a few weeks during the summer months and this can add approximately 2 weeks onto quoted lead times.

Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are automatically calculated by Belgica Furniture at the time of check out when you are ordering.

Storage
If you are unable to take delivery of the goods when they become available, storage can be arranged for a maximum of 6 weeks, as long as payment of full balance has been received. Storage for longer periods may be arranged at the Company's discretion but will be chargeable. Please contact us: info@belgicafurniture.com

Additional Costs
There may be further costs incurred when a delivery date and time set between belgicafurniture.com and the customer and the customer fails to attend to accept the delivery of the goods. When the customer fails to highlight specific delivery details which may cause problems and delay the delivery of the goods to the customer, e.g. lack of notification to belgicafurniture.com delivery service that a door or window will have to be removed in order for goods to be placed inside the building. When the customer does not notify belgicafurniture.com delivery service that there are adverse circumstances, which could affect the delivery of a product. For example the lift in the building is not in operation. 

In any of these circumstance belgicafurniture .com reserve the right to charge an additional delivery charge in order to rectify the situation and ensure delivery. This also ensures that the goods, which the customer ordered, are in the best condition and have not been damaged in previous delivery attempts and so at the time of final delivery goods are in ideal condition.

If a customer chooses to return an item within the 7 days refund window and belgicafurniture.com advise they will be unable to resell the product, a charge will be deducted from the customers refund to accommodate this cost

5. Cancellations
If you wish to change or cancel any orders with customisable and made to measure products this must be done within 48 hours of your order being placed. Should you wish to cancel out with the 48 hours this would be at the discretion of Belgica Furniture and you may incur charges. You are reminded that all orders placed with us form a legally binding contract.

6. Returns & Faulty Goods
You can return stock only products (this means products that are available for immediate delivery only. Any products that are specially ordered or customized are not classed as stock products) within 7 days of delivery date. We will provide a full refund for the goods once we have received them and they have been checked by our returns department, we will also refund any delivery charges that were paid at the time of purchase. If you require Belgica Furniture to collect the goods you will be charged the cost to do so. All products must be returned in original packaging.
If products returned to Belgica Furniture arrive damaged we will not be held responsible. For products that have been specially ordered, made to measure or custom made these are only returnable if damaged, faulty or different from what you originally ordered. Replacement products will be redelivered free of charge.


Please notify us if you wish to return any products within 7 days from receiving delivery. Please email us at info@belgicafurniture.com and include the following details:

• Your name, address and order number
• A brief description for your reason for return
• Preferred contact details

A member of our team will contact you to arrange the quickest and most efficient way of returning your product. Please do not send any returns back to us without contacting us first, this would result in a delay with your return. Please note we cannot return certain products for hygiene reasons (such as mattresses and Pillows).

Faulty Goods upon Delivery
If you are not fully happy with the product on delivery or you believe the product to be faulty please notify the delivery driver at the time of delivery and the driver will assess your query. At this point the delivery driver will determine whether the product is faulty and should be replaced or a replacement part is required. The delivery driver will not leave the premises until you have confirmed you are satisfied with the product.

Here at Belgica we take faults very seriously and aim to provide an efficient service rectifying any issues our customers may have within tolerance. We work with our manufacturers to correct faults to full standards whether this requires your product to be returned to the manufacturer, settled in store or at home.

7. Interest Free Credit
Belgica Furniture are pleased to offer 9 months interest free credit on any order totalling over £1000, this service is provided by Hitachi Capital PLC. This means the remaining balance will be debited monthly through 9 equal payments with no added interest.

To qualify for our credit option you must fit the following criteria:

• You must be over 18 years of age
• Be in permanent employment over 16 hours per week
• Be able to pay the deposit by credit or debit card
• Hold a bank or building society current account for completing the direct debit section
• Furniture ordered must be delivered to the current home address
• Be a UK resident for a minimum for 12 months

If your application is successful you will be invited sign a copy of the agreement. However with some applications the decision may take a little longer to be processed as Hitachi may want to do further checks, in this case a member from our sales department would keep you up to date. Should your finance be unsuccessful a member of our team will contact you to complete payment before we process your order.

8. Product Characteristics
Whilst every effort is made to match colours and finishes on products you purchase, all natural and many synthetic colours and finishes can only be supplied on the understanding that there is always possibility of variation.

Leather Products
Age adds character and reflects how the leather furniture has been used during its lifetime. Over the years, leather adapts itself to the user and develops a personalised and individual look. With regular use, as the leather fibers relax, we expect that comfort creases may form in the areas that receive the most body contact, such as seat and back cushions. All these signs serve as more evidence of the leather's authenticity and should be no cause for concern. Dyes are absorbed differently throughout the hide and some colour variation is normal and expected. Colour variation ranges from slight in pigmented top-coat protected finishes, to distinct, in semi or full aniline finished leathers, with no colour pigments. Scars, wrinkles and folds all contribute to the natural beauty of top grain leathers and do not affect the performance or longevity of the leather. The appearance of these characteristics varies from minimal to prominent, depending on the hide selection and processing.

Care for Wooden Furniture
It is very important to ensure that the house humidity is kept at a constant level between 40% and 60% as this will prevent your wooden furniture from cracking or warping as well as preventing any doors or drawers from sticking. A correct humidity is essential for maintaining your wooden furniture. House humidity can be measured with a hygrometer. The humidity can be kept constant by placing water trays on your radiators or through the use of a humidifier. Alongside humidity, a constant room temperature is equally as important. The ideal temperature during the day is 21 degrees Celsius and at night no less than 14 degrees Celsius. Care kits are available online at belgicafurniture.com.

Variation in product specification
Due to the shortage of certain new raw materials some products supplied by the Company could differ slightly in actual construction from the goods shown in sample or pattern form. The Company state any changes that are made will result in a performance of an equally high or improved standard. The quality coding will remain the same and the quality guarantee will continue to apply.

9. Customer Accounts
New customers wishing to make a purchase or receive newsletter information are required to register with the site by entering some details which will allow you to place orders and receive newsletters from belgicafurniture.com regarding special offers and sales which are up and coming, so you don’t miss out.

After you have registered and you wish to purchase a product from the store you must login using your email address and password, which you assigned at the time of registration. This will allow you access to your account where you can update details, view previous orders and make purchases. If you have forgotten you password an email reminder will be sent to the email address registered with the account giving you instructions on how to continue.

To simply browse the store you do not have to login to your account. Please note that all information is confidential and will not be passed to any outside parties.
